Our “Old Fashioned Church Fair” — for many years a Haydenville Church tradition — is making a comeback Saturday, Sept 22, 9 a.m – 2 p.m.
This is intended to be a big fun fundraiser for our church.
So far, we are planning on a few big raffles: an African blanket donated by Susan Farrell, a.”’tin can” raffle (donations from area businesses and people), baked goods. jewelry, and plant tables, potato and winter squash sale, and a homemade soup and sandwich luncheon.
Ways to provide products to sell
Bake something to sell — please include list of ingredients
Donate or make something for the crafts table. Your arts/crafts projects: aprons, mittens, scarves, pot holders, pottery, baby blankets, ornaments, etc. handmade, not store bought. We don’t need massive quantities, just quality items.
Other donations: If you have something you would like to donate for the raffle table, please let Gloria Lampron or Trish LaFreniere know. Make up a fun basket of goods, donate a gift certificate from your business, use your imagination
Plant Table: If you have excess garden produce or plants/bulbs, donate these to that table.
Donate old jewelry (in good shape) that can be cleaned up for sale.
Help provide supplies for lunch — Trish has the list which is posted at the end.
Lend a hand — Every contribution counts
Sell raffle tickets
Plan on helping set up Sept 21st, Friday evening at 5. Help run a table on Saturday, Sept 22nd, 9-2. Help out in the kitchen — serving or cleaning up. Let Trish know your availability.
Hang up posters and spread the word. Getting the public to stop by will be key to our success. Invite family and friends to come! Distribute posters in stores, post office, workplace. Put it on Facebook, call people, mail out posters.
This is OUR church, everyone should try to do something to help, no matter how small. Winter is coming…we need to fix the furnace and to put fuel in it.
To make it all happen we need a lot of help. What would you like to do?
Trish will be signing up people after services Sunday.
