We have an “Old Fashioned Church Fair” scheduled for Sept 22, 9 a.m – 2 p.m.
This is a fundraiser for our church. This is NOT A TAG SALE ! But if you are a baker, a crafter, a quilter, a knitter, or love to help good causes, this is for you!
If you have ideas, share with Trish, Barb Estes, or Ann Loomis.
So far, we are planning on a few big raffles: an African blanket donated by Susan Farrell, a.”‘tin can” raffle (donations from area businesses and people), a baked goods. jewelry, and plant tables, potato and winter squash sale, and of course a lovely soup and sandwich luncheon.
Maureen Ricksgers is planning one or two sewing blitzes to assemble quick craft items.
Ways to help:
– bake something to sell
– donate or make something for the crafts table (hand made items only.)
– help out in the kitchen – serving or cleaning up
– provide supplies for lunch – Trish has the list.
– sell raffle tickets
– donate old jewelry (in good shape) that can be cleaned up for sale.
– hang up posters and spread the word. Getting the public to stop by will be key to our success.
To make it all happen we need a lot of help. What would you like to do? Trish will be signing up people starting this Sunday.
